I Need A Battery…O-O-O-O’Reilly

batteryThe power of audio.  Putting your brand right onto the front lines. Auto parts companies get it. You can’t turn on the radio without hearing from one of them in any given commercial stop set.  Do all those audio impressions make a difference? Yes, they do. Way more than even most advertising agencies realize.  If you compare the top three auto parts companies with the overall stock market, the answer is very clear.

According to Suredividend.com Auto parts retailers have outperformed the market by a wide margin in the last decade. During this period, AutoZone (AZO), O’Reilly Automotive (ORLY) and Advance Auto Parts (AAP) have rallied 464%, 841% and 254%, respectively, whereas S&P has advanced 220%.

Let’s bring that down to the consumer level.  After a long day at work you crawl out to your car.  You can’t wait to go home and binge watch Game of Thrones, but, your car just coughs a forced laugh at you….and barely starts.  It’s your battery…. But maybe just enough juice to go get a replacement.

Quick! Go to your mental Rolodex. Where do you go to get a battery?  Well the big auto parts companies have been working for years to make sure you pick them. Will you go to O-O-O O’Reilly, or maybe you’ll get into the zone—Auto Zone.  Napa has know how and Advance promises service is their best part. They get a shot at your money before you even open Google.

If you are like most of us you hear those jingles in your head (You probably hear a couple right now). That is the power of branding with audio.

Joe’s Auto Parts can show up 1st on Google, but the odds are one of the above companies is getting your cash…No Google required.  Just a well branded message that finds a cozy place in your brain…To be retrieved when you need it the most……Owwww!
